Who we are

Youth Access is the national network in England for youth advice and counselling services that was involved in the initial 5-year Our Minds Our Future project. Their mission is to ensure all young people can access free support on their journey into adulthood from community-based advice and counselling services that respect their rights and meet their individual needs.

ProMo Cymru is a non-profit organisation based in Wales, also involved in the initial 5-year Our Minds Our Future project. ProMo uses its experience of working with young people to help make creative changes for the benefit of society.

What’s involved?

For the past 5 years, youth and mental health organisations and young people have collaborated to shape mental health services across the UK. To continue the work that has been done, the “Our Minds Our Future” Youth Action Away Day is a jam-packed day in Bristol happening Saturday 8th February 2025

This is your chance to help us reflect on the project’s journey so far, share your experiences and ideas for tackling youth mental health challenges, and celebrate the incredible work young people have done to improve mental health services.

Travel and accommodation in a hotel room are covered, so all you need to bring is your passion and creative thinking! You won’t be sharing with other young people, so everyone will have their own space.

To prepare for this event, there will be four online sessions on Wednesdays between 4:30-6:30pm. We will come together for introductions, before planning and designing the Away Day, and then debriefing and planning the next steps for the future.

  • 27th November 2024 – First planning session (4:30-6:30pm, online)

Please make sure that you’re available for all the above dates and times before applying.
