To celebrate Safer Internet Day 2023, the Welsh Government invites entries to the Safer Internet Day 2023 Film Competition.
About the competition
The competition encourages children and young people in Wales to voice their views, opinions or stories about using social media, gaming or apps by creating a video.
There are two categories in the completion: Primary, for children in primary school, and Secondary, for young people aged 11-18.
The film
Films must be no longer than 2 minutes and focus on the theme ‘this is our voice’.
You may want to include the following:
- What advice would you give to someone new or inexperienced with social media, gaming and other apps
- A scenario you have found yourself in when using social media, gaming or other apps
- What you have learnt from previous experiences
- How apps could be made safer
- The benefits and concerns about using social media, gaming and other apps, and how to overcome them
Films will only be judged on their message and creativity. They will not be judged on how professionally made they are.
All films must respect copyright law. Please refer to the terms and conditions of the completion for more information about this.
