The National Lottery Community Fund (TNLCF) is recruiting up to three young people from across Wales to join their Youth Voice Wales Team, established in 2019.
The aims of the group
Through YPIL advisory panels, TNLCF aims to address the issues young people and their communities face head-on and steer significant and positive change in communities.
Previous work
The first Youth Voice Wales Team has hugely impacted work in Wales, including shaping ‘Mind our Future’ – a £10 million grant programme to support young people’s mental health and resilience.
The panel members have also been involved in The National Lottery Community Fund and ITV Wales ‘People’s Projects’. The Team panel have also presented at national youth and funding events across the UK.
What experience do I need?
Ideal applications will have experience:
- Being a role model
- Managing a project
- Getting involved in your local community
- Representing other people’s views
What skills are they looking for?
Applicants should have good communication skills and be able to work well as part of a team. You’ll need knowledge of your communities needs and be able to make decisions.
As well as this, they would like at least one of the three new members to be able to communicate in Welsh.
What’s the commitment level?
Successful applicants will work approximately eight hours a month. You will need a flexible approach to travel across regions and attend induction and residential.

All travel and expenses are paid for. You’ll also be remunerated for your time.
