If you’re 16-25 and have something to say about transport, apply to get on the Youth Advisory Panel!
Why was the panel created?
Sustrans have teamed up with the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) on a UK-wide project aiming to address the transport barriers that young people aged 12-24 years face.
What will the panel discuss?
The project will address some specific topics that make a difference to young people’s lives:
- Employment and the Quality of Work
- Economic Security
- Transport Systems to Unlock Opportunities, Experiences and Choices
If you’re interested in one of these topics, the Young Advisors Panel is for you!
What does being on the panel involve?
Young Advisors will work closely with selected expert organisations to give young people a voice on these important issues, and to influence research and policy at the national level.
Who can join the Young Advisors project?
Participants on the Young Advisors panel will need to be aged 16-25 from across the UK – including Northern Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales (of course).
Why should you join?
As a Young Advisor, you will have the opportunity to:
- Discuss issues with experts and decision-makers
- Develop your knowledge, skills and experience
- Become an advocate for the issues that matter to young people
