TheSprout is delighted to share our COVID-19 Lockdown Experiences Campaign with you all. This campaign aimed to highlight the experiences, thoughts and feelings of young people in Cardiff during the various lockdowns due to the pandemic. Information about the survey and the campaign can be found in this blog.

About the survey

A survey was created to collect data from young people aged 11-25 living in Cardiff. The survey consisted of three questions which required a detailed response to young people’s lockdown experiences, thoughts and feelings.

To collect the responses, a survey was created with three questions. The three questions were:

3 Questions

Q1. During lockdown, what is the most important thing that you’ve learnt about yourself?

Q2. What has been your most memorable moment during lockdown (funny, upsetting, surprising, infuriating)? What happened? How did it make you feel?

Q3. Explain what things that you miss most from your life before COVID-19. How will you not take them for granted in the future?

After sharing the link and details about the questionnaire on an article, social media posts and via paid advertising, 24 responses were submitted.

What happened to the data?

Upon submitting the responses, the participants agreed for their data to be used to create articles and graphics for TheSprout to share. The two-week long campaign will share these young people’s experiences, thoughts and feelings during the lockdowns.

On the questionnaire, there was an option for the data to be anonymised. All data from individuals who wished to have their responses anonymised have been given an alternative name.
