RawFfest, one of Wales’ biggest youth arts festivals, comes to the Wales Millennium Centre to promise its boldest year yet, serving up a flavour of what’s to come with its free launch party on the 24th January.
Original, quirky and daring are the key words of RawFfest, an arts festival planned and programmed by young people for young people aged 14-25. Promising something for everyone, and the room to discover something new, RawFfest 2019 will provide a platform for the best of youth arts across Wales, including performances, galleries, showcases and masterclasses across theatre, film, dance, circus, street art, literature, fashion, and many more.
With the festival itself coming to the WMC from the 25 – 28 April, the RawFfest team are celebrating the launch of their official programme and tickets going live by throwing a free launch party in the WMC on January 24th, starting from 18:00.
The party will feature live music, dance performances, a fashion exhibition, blackout poetry and soft drinks and snacks, as well as interactive stalls where you can learn everything you need to know about the different strands of the festival. While everything is free, make sure to book a place on the party’s official eventbrite page, as the first 40 people to sign up will receive a goody bag. With the party offering a microcosm of the festival to come, expect the unexpected.
