This year Hub Festival took place in Cardiff on Bank Holiday Monday: three days, 12 stages, over 700 artists involved. Womanby St once again lit up with happy smiles of people enjoying art and performance of all kinds.
Here’s what theSprout’s camera captured at the Hub Festival 2016.
Sophie Lynch & The Special Friends @ Banc Courtyard
Joe Kelly Solo @ Dempseys
Ofelia @ Four Bars
Fire Fences @ The Moon Club
Art being created in front of Cardiffians
Welcome Back Delta @ Fuel
You could literally do anything at the festival: even take a nap @Fuel.
Festival guests had an opportunity to enjoy both indoors and outdoors performances.
Tommy & The Trouble @ Banc Courtyard
Meilir @ City Arms
The Johnstown Flood @ The Full Moon
Crinkle Cuts @ Banc Courtyard
Featherjaw @ The Moon Club
Blue Honey + Frontal Lobe @ Castle Emporium
Rubbish or an art installation? Sadly, Hub festival is yet another event where we couldn’t help but notice how irresponsible people are when it comes to their surroundings and environment.
But hey, festival puppies though!
Winter Coat @ The Full Moon
Bobbie-Jo @Banc Courtyard
La Forme @ Urban Tap House
Thom Bentley @ Dempseys
The Hold Up Hip-Hop Showcase outside Castle Emporium
Shop Girls @ The Full Moon
Hub Festival, without a doubt, was one of the biggest music events of the year in Cardiff. The preparations for Hub 2017 have begun already! If you wish to get involved, get in touch with the festival’s organizers via the Hub Facebook page below or ask TheSprout to review/photograph the events!
