The run-up to Halloween is definitely more than just the excitement of trick-or-treating or finding the best costume for your mates Halloween party. If you’re anything like me, the leaves changing colours and the increase of anything pumpkin-spiced flavoured are among the top contenders for the best things about Autumn.
However, this year, I came across an amazing new Autumnal activity – and luckily, it’s in Cardiff. Grab a wheelbarrow and meander endlessly through the freshly grown pumpkins that are growing over two large fields at the Pumpkin Picking Patch. Refreshments are available for purchase and there is a tent where you can make some Halloween themed crafts for a small cost. There are also loads of fantastic photo opportunities everywhere but be warned – it can be muddy, so don’t wear your fresh kicks!
Entrance to the Pumpkin Patch and car parking is free, with pumpkins available to pick and buy for as little as £1. It is located on the A48, St. Nicholas, Cardiff, CF56SF. If you’re interested in going to explore, the Pumpkin Picking Patch is open from 9:30 am – 4 pm every day from October 18th – 31st .
