But making their hobby into a career is not an easy thing to do, so how do they make it big and have a career they love? Usually, it’s with passion, skills, knowledge, or connections — and getting these is usually easier said than done.
Wouldn’t it be easier if you could have all of these? In Cardiff? On 21 March? THIS YEAR?!
If you’re under 30 and already have the passion, then Cardiff Music Conference (CMC) 2020 can definitely help you get what you need to start making your way as an artist. And if you’re already on your way, CMC will keep you going and get you where you want to be.
It’ll connect you to real people who make actual music; you’ll get to work on your skills to develop different techniques, and get loads of solid gold advice that you wouldn’t get anywhere else.
CMC 2020 is the brainchild of a bunch of artists and music industry professionals (so: important people who know their stuff) who want to make sure that Cardiff’s music scene still has a home, and still has a family for the years to come.
What can you expect?
- Fun merch to collect! (Because we all love free stuff.)
- Practice DJ, Rap and vocal skills
- Meet and greet artists
- Sessions from professional music industry boffins to help you get the facts, with talks including:
-
- How to maximise your income through streaming sites
- How to promote your online presence as an artist
- Making it alone: how to stay positive in a daunting and competitive music industry
Sound good? (Yes, obvs.)
