The Cardiff Music Awards 2019 are coming up thick and fast, with the date just around the corner on 29th March.
Maybe you’re not sure it’s for you, but it sounds like it’s going to be the event of the year. And tickets are actually pretty cheap, so go for it! Here’s three reasons why you should go…
If you buy your ticket now you can win studio time
From a promotional email:
This year we are giving you the chance to win recording time at Kings Road Studios. The only thing you need to do is buy your ticket to our 2019 awards ceremony and send us an email at info@cardiffmusicawards.co.uk (or simply reply to this email) to confirm your entry before 20th March.
The amazing Ladies of Rage will be DJing
Ladies of Rage is an online based platform that lifts up female artists in Cardiff and puts on incredible shows. Singer Asha Jane is a friend of the Sprout over at Radio Platfform, and we interviewed her in episode three (the sex one) of our Strangetown podcast. The Ladies of Rage got a big audience this weekend, when they were played on Radio Wales almost all day during their live show on Womanby Street. But anyway, the DJs amongst them will be playing as you enter the awards venue on March 29th.
All our best buddies are in the running
Now, we didn’t enter the awards, it just wouldn’t be fair on the competition 🤥 We jest, but actually looking at the list of nominees it’s actually super hard to choose who to vote for in anything! Chroma, Boy Azooga and Al Moses all clashing on audio visual fronts, whilst Minty, Let it Happen and God is in the TV scrap for the critics’ prizes. It could go any which way for everybody.
You can cast your vote here. Voting closes March 22nd so make your mind up pronto!
So are you feeling convinced? Put on your best suit and get ye down to the town’s glitziest award ceremony this side of L.A. Get your tickets today!
