The Houses of Parliament Are Offering Free Tours For Young Adults Ahead of The General Election

The Houses of Parliament are encouraging young adults to vote and engage with the democratic process by inviting all young voters currently aged between 18-24 a free place on one of Westminster’ grand tours. A ticket will still be required, alongside proof of age on entry.

During the tour, visitors will be able to wander around the House of Commons, House of Lords and Westminster Hall, taking a sneak peak inside the debating chambers and voting lobbies of the both Houses.

Tours are available on the following days:

  • Monday to Saturday between 11 and 20 May
  • Wednesday to Saturday between 25 May and 3 June

Tickets can be purchased online, by calling +44 (0)20 7219 4114 or in person from the Ticket Office at the front of Portcullis House on Victoria Embankment. Find out more about the choice of tours available here.

The Houses of Parliament will remain open to visitors in the period before the UK General Election on the 8th of June. Eight extra tour dates have been added in the month of May.
