Want 26 minutes of hot music chat between people that like Joy Division a little bit too much? Well you’re in luck…
Last week South Wales post-punkers Aaronson played a barnstorming set in Gwdihw. It was the launch of their debut album Appearance And Reality. And it was ruddy great.

I caught up with Mark and Dan from the band after their set for a chat about influences, equipment, advice on getting started and plenty more besides.
Yet before you press play, there’s a few things I should point out…
- I momentarily forgot which instrument Bernard Sumner plays in New Order and Joy Division. It’s been eating away at me for days, I tells ya.
- There’s a fair bit of table thumping, which the mic picks up without a second thought. You have been warned.
- Peter Crouch is 6′ 7″ tall.
- Alison Statton is the singer in Young Marble Giants.
- Sorry about the Kanye incident at the end. I just really like Kanye West.
