Q1. During lockdown, what is the most important thing that you’ve learnt about yourself?

In lockdown I learned that I am one of the most resilient people I know; for context, I live alone, and so all the struggles I went through I could only rely on myself to deal with them. Even for small things, like having a bad day, I had no one around to support me, so I learned how independent I really am.

Q2. What has been your most memorable moment during lockdown?

As for a particular moment that is hard to say, however a frequent occurrence that I can recall over lockdown is the amount of people who have no concept of social distancing. This is particularly infuriating because it’s such a small step to take to keep everyone safe, but so many people don’t seem to care.

Q3. Explain what things that you miss most from your life before COVID-19. How will you not take them for granted in the future?

I haven’t been able to hug my best friend – who I have known since we were four years old – since I saw them last December. While I managed to see them from a distance once, seeing them without being able to interact with them properly has been heart-breaking. Next time I’m allowed within 2m of them I’m hugging them and not letting go.
