Llamau and End Youth Homelessness have collaborated on an exciting event that allows you to game for a good cause. Fancy gaming to help end youth homelessness? Read on to find out how to get involved!
What is Gaming for Good?
From Friday 2nd April to Saturday 17th April, Llamau and End Youth Homeless (EYH) are asking people to get involved with Gaming for Good. Gaming for Good encourages people to pick a game of their choice and play it forward by inviting their friends, family, and colleagues to join in and raise funds for End Youth Homelessness Charities.
This event is being run in collaboration between Llamau and EYH. Llamau’s mission is to end youth homelessness and homelessness for women in Wales. EYH is a collective of youth homelessness charities working across the whole of the UK.
Llamau and EYH believe that if we all come together, we can live in a world without homelessness.
Who can be involved in the event?
Anyone can be involved and play however they’d like! Participants can form teams, play solo, stream on Twitch, or just use it as an excuse to get friends together (socially distanced of course!).
What’s the fundraising goal?
If you’d like to be involved, there’s a goal to fundraise a target of £121 to represent the 121,000 young people who faced homelessness in the UK last year.
Everyone who successfully reaches this target will get one free entry into the exclusive prize draw and an invitation to celebrate their hard work at the Grand Finale on Saturday 17th April.
What kind of gaming can I do?
You can do anything – from board game nights between flatmates and families, Fifa or Fortnite sessions between uni mates living at home, and influencer streams for those who love to watch gamers. This event is about connecting people digitally in a time when we are all distanced physically; all whilst raising vital funds to help end youth homelessness across the UK.
