Free and Cheap Things to do in Cardiff: 25-31 October

It’s halloween this weekend, with spooky stories- BOO!
But maybe we should mention- it’s also half term too!

Hopefully your half term is better than my attempt at poetry. Don’t get bored- get out and have fun with our guide to what’s on in Cardiff this half term!

Fuel Quiz

Thurs 25 Oct 7-10pm – Fuel Rock Club £1

Are you metal enough to do the sports round? Are you hard enough for the flags round? Can you mosh hard when the inevitable questions about soap operas show up? I don’t know why Cardiff’s heaviest rock club is putting on a pub quiz but they are. Facebook event.

Cardiff Uni Open Day

Sat 27 Oct – Cardiff University main campus

Technically this is a free event. Why not have a look at the uni even if you’re not really that keen on going there. You’ll probably get some freebies out of it and it is a nice day out. Why not take a campus tour??? Get your tickets.

Cardiff Animation Frights

Sat 27 Oct 7pm – Chapter Arts – £5.10 Student or Child

Woo spooky! Animator Dani has personally picked out a load of scary shorts for you to feast on this week at the special Halloween edition of Cardiff Animation Nights.

AMAZEing Medieval Halloween

Sat 27 Oct 11am-4pm – Caerphilly Castle – £5.10 Student or Child

Maybe a little far out for some, and whoever heard of celebrating Halloween during the day? Might be a good one to bring little brothers and sisters to so you can spook them with tales of Gilbert De Clare’s dead wife, The Green Lady, who haunts the castle to this day… and then get lost in the maze too.
