Cardiff Family Advice and Support Service: Supporting Young Cardiffians

Are you a young person in Cardiff who needs some help, but you’re not sure where to turn? Try the Cardiff Family Advice and Support service!

What is CFAS?

The Cardiff Family Advice and Support Service (CFAS) helps children, young people and their families all over Cardiff to get the support they need. The CFAS team can provide information and advice on:

How do I get in touch?

If you would like some help, you can get in touch with CFAS using the Cardiff Family Gateway to get the information, advice and assistance you need in Cardiff.

You can contact the Family Gateway for free by phone (03000 133 133) or by email (ContactFAS@cardiff.gov.uk).

The Family Gateway Contact Officers will listen to your situation, suggest what support is best for you and then help you to access it. You may be able to get help from the Cardiff Family Help Team or Support4Families team in some circumstances. If these services aren’t right for what you need, the Family Gateway Contact Officers will be able to help you get the support you need elsewhere.

Since then, CFAS has expanded their support to better meet the needs of children and young people. They’ve done this by:

To celebrate all the help that CFAS provide to children, young people and their families, we’ve created the Supporting Young Cardiffians campaign. Over the next two weeks, TheSprout will be sharing lots of information about the CFAS service and how you can get help when you need it. You’ll hear from some of the CFAS advisors and also from lots of young people who have shared their stories about getting help from the Cardiff Family Advice and Support service.
