Last week we advertised on The Sprout that the amazing UpRising Environmental Leadership programme was open for applications. This week we’ve also heard from UpRising that their other programme, simply titled Leadership Programme, is open too.
Both programmes are free part time leadership programmes for 19-25 year olds. They’re held between October 2018 and June 2019.

About The Programme
Our programmes are made up of 4.5 months of Skills and Knowledge sessions; and 4.5 months of participants working together to form and deliver their own Social Action Campaigns. Last year we had some incredible guest speakers support the programme, including Chief Superintendent Belinda Davies; Sharon Hopkins, Director of Public Health; Cynthia Ogbonna, Managing Director, Cardiff Bus; Rhodri Talfan, Director BBC Cymru Wales; Rt Hon Carwyn Jones AM, 1st Minister for Wales; Huw Thomas, Leader Cardiff Council.

* Dragon’s Den
* Graduation
Through the programme, participants will have extensive opportunities to develop their confidence; knowledge; skills; networks; social mindedness; democratic engagement; and wellbeing, gaining fantastic experiences that can be used on CV’s, UCAS applications, interviews, and within both person and professional life. About the Details
Programme dates – Both the Leadership Programme and the Environmental Leadership Programme commence in mid-October 2018. Sessions will take place every other week on Thursday evenings from 6pm to 9pm in various site-specific venues across Cardiff.
Who can apply? We take applications from anyone aged 19-25 and living, working or studying in the Cardiff area.
Accessibility? All venues will be accessible by public transport, and will be accessible to wheelchair users.
