#YourShout: Help Make Cardiff A Child Friendly City

Posted on:   Posted by:

Cardiff Youth Service has teamed up with Unicef UK to make Cardiff a Child Friendly City and they want your help.

What is a child friendly city?

The Child Rights Partners programme aims to embed children’s rights across the services and make Cardiff a Child Friendly City.

What are Children’s Rights?

Children’s rights are all the things that children and young people need to make sure that they are safe, have the things they need to survive and develop, and have a say in decisions that affect their lives.

What is the Children and Young People’s Advisory Board?

  • It is a group of 11-18 year olds from all over Cardiff
  • They meet no less than once a term
  • They work with adults to help children claim their rights and work to make Cardiff a Child Friendly City

What’s in it for you?

  • Speak up for the children of Cardiff
  • Have your voice heard
  • Free transport to meetings
  • Develop new skills
  • Meet new friends
  • Millennium Volunteer Hours
  • Great for your CV, Duke of Edinburgh Awards and Welsh Baccalauraeate
